Artistic Biography – Joaquim Buttigli

Born in Zurich in 1972, Joaquim Buttigli combines deep psychological insight with expressive painting. After studying psychology and training as a certified coach, he turned his focus toward art. His education includes a Master Class in portrait painting, a Still Lifeprogram, and numerous workshops in both figurative and abstract painting.

Buttigli primarily works with oil paints. His works move between portraiture, abstraction, and dream imagery—often interwoven with patterns and spiritual symbols. His motifs emerge from inner visions and the unconscious, which he views as a source of creative truth. The psychological depth of his paintings makes them mirrors of the soul—for both artist and viewer.
